Dr. Novotny is a primary care sports medicine physician with Arnot Health here in the Southern Tier. He graduated college with a Bachelor of Science and a major of Exercise Science. He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine and completed a residency in pediatrics at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences at Arkansas Children's Hospital. He completed his fellowship in primary care sports medicine at Kettering Health in Kettering, OH.
Dr. Novotny cares for pediatric and adult patients of all ages, focusing on sports and non-sports related injuries, overuse injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal pain such as osteoarthritis. He also has experience in sports related concussion management in youth and young adults. Dr. Novotny's interests include injection therapy and musculoskeletal ultrasound.
He currently works closely with athletic trainers, provides athletic coverage, and manages athletes for various local high schools, colleges, and semiprofessional teams. Dr. Novotny has a goal to expand his presence in the community and provide coverage for various athletic events.
